The records were set during the AIDA Colombian Cup 2022 competition, organized by Cristian Castaño Villa at San Andrés Island in Colombia.
– Malin's national records have been approved, general secretary Stian Olsen Kaiander of the Norwegian Sportsdiving Federation confirms.

The new records are 33 meters in CWT and 30 meters in CWT-B. They previously belonged to Monica Dybvik (31 meters) and Liv Berglann (29 meters).
Malin was also awarded an impressive overall women's bronze medal in Colombia – in her first apnea competition!

The competition was held according to AIDA standards, but rules allow for the records to be approved by CMAS and therefore the Norwegian Sportsdiving Federation.
Malin already has new goals in sight, and is set to take part in the French Apnea Championship held in Villefranche Sur Mer in the beginning of July.

– I'm moving to Nice for five weeks of training at the end of May. My goal is to improve my records, she tells Dykking magazine.
She adds that she's training under Lily Crespy at ENKI Coaching, who has been working with freedivers and mental training for a number of years.
